If the Local Doesn't Approve Credits, How Can We be Sure Credits are Correct?

For the same reason that we often don't have enough information to bill you for work dues, we also don't get the info we'd need to verify who worked on which show. Even when we do get all the info we need from the production, it usually comes far after the show has wrapped. Members usually want to list a credit on their profile much sooner than we are able to, which means you usually beat us to the punch anyway.

Since we can't say that someone definitely didn't work on a particular show, we don't attempt to vet the credits that members enter.

Question 2

Can you tell me my start and finish dates?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not receive copies of your pay stubs.

AND, we do not know exactly when you worked because the date that we receive work dues checks from the payroll company does not always coincide with the dates worked.

If you have not saved your pay stubs, you can ask the payroll company to send you a report that shows all of the work that you have done for them.

Are my PMs (Private Messages) actually private?

Accepted Answer

No.

In this case, 'private message' is a total misnomer. It is absolutely trivial for office staff to read these messages. If you need absolute privacy in your communications, you should not use Local480.com to convey them.

This is only a safe-guard against misuse of the PM system. Unless we hear about abuse, our policy is not to read the private messages of others.
